Today has just been one of those rainy, humid Massachusetts days that you can’t get your hair or skin/makeup/face to cooperate. jdlajdsnkak
ha.
I just washed my face and took my makeup off and I walked into the kitchen and my mom looked at me and said, “What’s wrong with your face?”
Wow. Thanks, ma!
I hardly wear that much, gosh!
Review: Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer
![]()
I wish I still had this product to show you swatches. Oh wait… no I don’t. This is what I have to say about this tinted moisturizer: I hated it. I tried it once and returned it the next day. I couldn’t even stand it. I originally bought this because it was 40% off at CVS. Also because I’m always on the hunt for a good drugstore TM.
This retails for I believe around $13 at my CVS. It has cute organic looking and feeling packaging, but it’s a relatively small tube. It has 80% certified organic ingredients, 100% free of harsh chemicals, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and all that stuff. It’s also SPF 15. This is all stuff that’s very appealing about this product.
But the appeal stops there for me. The directions say to shake well, which I did, but it was very watery. Too much immediately spilled out of the tube, because I didn’t even have to squeeze it to get much out. Then when I applied it to my face, I just could not get past the smell. I honestly couldn’t pinpoint it until I researched further online and people are calling it lavender. I don’t think it smells like lavender, but whatever it is, it’s incredibly strong. I’m not usually very sensitive to smells but this just made my eyes water… I can’t imagine what someone who’s very sensitive would feel.
That was an immediate deal breaker for me. Beyond that, the coverage was very sheer but managed to even out my skin only a little bit. It also kind of stung my face after a little while. As far as the moisturizing properties, it wasn’t too bad but I only tried it the one time so I can’t speak for that.
I definitely would not recommend this, and 90% of the reason is because of the smell. Ugh. I didn’t mean for this to be so long, I just must’ve had a lot to say about this atrocity!
1 out of 5 stars!

My Everyday Essentials
So, I thought I’d do a little post of the products that I use on a regular, daily basis. My everyday look is very simple… There’s probably only a couple days a week where I use foundation and go all out. Most days I have to get up really early to go to work, so I don’t have a lot of time in the morning to do my makeup, because I do love my sleep more than anything!

e.l.f. Essentials Eyelid Primer
I’ve owned the Urban Decay Primer Potion and in my opinion the e.l.f. Eyelid Primer works just as well if not better. I use this every single day. It is my holy grail of eye primers. I just… I don’t even know. I love it. ($1, Target, kmart, eyeslipsface.com)

e.l.f. Essentials Liquid Eyeliner
I LOVE this eyeliner. It stays perfect through the entire day. There have been a couple instances where I forgot to use primer and it did wear off a little bit, but with primer it doesn’t budge. The only complaint I have about it is that you never know which brush you’re going to get. I own about 6 of these (2 black, 2 brown, 1 teal, and 1 gold) and there are 3 different brushes among them: a really thin bristle-y one, a thin foam one, and a ginormous foam one. ($1, Target, kmart, eyeslipsface.com)

Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama
I’m always experimenting with different mascaras (usually Maybelline, admittedly) but my current favorite is this one. It just makes my lashes look so good. I just love it so much. It doesn’t get too flaky or dry looking. Sometimes I have a problem with Maybelline mascaras drying out in the tube pretty quickly. I haven’t had this one long enough to really tell, but so far so good. (about $5-$8, drugstores, walmart, etc)

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
I like this because it has no shimmer, and I like to use it for contouring and such. Sometimes I do a light sweep all over my face but most of the time..not really because it can make my face look muddy or something. But I like it for contouring! (about $2.99, drugstores)

Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Bikini Contest
When I’m not contouring/using Sunny, sometimes I like to just add an overall glow to my face (especially now that the weather’s getting nicer!) and this bronzer gives a nice overall glow without looking orange or super shimmery. It requires a lighter hand because it’s pretty pigmented and a lot of color can get packed into the brush. (about $3.99, drugstores)

e.l.f. Studio Blush in Candid Coral
All of the studio blushes are great, for the most part. They have great pigmentation and all that jazz. This is a pretty coral blush and it gives a nice soft flush for the everyday look. ($3, target, kmart, eyeslipsface.com)
That’s pretty much it (I think). I don’t really wear anything on my lips daily to be honest, besides maybe a chapstick or a random gloss or something. xo
